Baldwin and Friends Series

 

These images are a sampling of an exhibition that will feature Black thinkers, artists, and activists of the 20th century. James Baldwin is prominently featured in a 12 ft x 8 ft double portrait,  comprising two panels, each 6 ft wide. 14 more paintings are being produced at a scale that symbolizes the larger-than-life stature of these personalities and the influence they have had on American politics and culture.
